ADHD

As someone who has ADHD and grew up in an education system that didn’t quite understand how I learned, I know firsthand how frustrating and discouraging traditional teaching methods can be. I was often told to “focus more” or “try harder,” as though ADHD was a flaw that needed fixing. But I’ve come to see ADHD for what it truly is: a gift. A way of thinking that’s dynamic, creative, and full of potential.

In fact, many of the greatest minds in history—Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, and countless others—would likely be diagnosed with ADHD today. Their ability to think outside the box, see connections others couldn’t, and embrace boundless curiosity helped shape the world as we know it. That’s the power of ADHD.

But the problem is this: the traditional education system isn’t built for ADHD brains. It tries to change the child instead of changing the teaching techniques to suit them, and I believe that’s completely backward. Every student deserves to be taught in a way that celebrates how they think and honors their unique strengths.

What’s Different?

Having ADHD means thinking differently—and that’s a good thing! It means being able to see creative solutions to problems, hyperfocus on things you’re passionate about, and approach the world with energy and curiosity. My goal is to help students harness these traits as strengths, not see them as obstacles.

In my tutoring sessions, I do things differently because I understand what it’s like to sit in that chair. Here’s how:

ADHD-Friendly Techniques

I use proven methods designed specifically for ADHD learners, like chunking information into manageable steps, incorporating frequent breaks, encouraging motion, and leveraging their interests to make lessons engaging and fun.

Dopamine-Rich Learning

I create an environment that’s stimulating and exciting, tapping into the natural strengths of ADHD brains. Through gamifying lessons I help students stay motivated and find joy in learning. Using strength-based learning, multisensory instruction, and finding the “just right” level of challenge, I empower students to learn in a way that doesn’t just work for them but excites them.

Personalized Approaches

Every person learns differently, and I adapt my teaching to fit their unique needs and passions. Finding the connection that takes their hobbies and ties them to the concepts we are covering is where learning stops being a chore and starts being something to look forward to.

A space to thrive.

Whether the struggle is with math, needing help staying organized, or simply finding the passion in learning, I’m here to help. My sessions are welcoming, judgment-free, and tailored to bring out the best in every student. I don’t just teach—I coach, encourage, and empower students to see their potential and embrace the incredible minds they have.

If you’re ready to thrive, let’s connect. Together, we’ll unlock their unique strengths and turn challenges into opportunities.
